We are looking for students who have actively participated and demonstrated leadership in high school and community activities or services. A personal interview by telephone or in person with the Pi Lambda Lambda Scholarship Committee is also potentially a part of the application process.
A total of eleven (11) individual scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $31,000. Eight (8) scholarships will be awarded to young men attending a four-year college or university. The 1st and 2nd place winners will receive scholarships in the amount of $10,000 and $6,000, respectively. We will distribute each of these scholarships over a two-year period in increments of $5,000 and $3,000, respectively. The first increment will be issued in the fall of 2017. The second increment will be issued in the fall of 2018 contingent upon student maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. Other scholarship awards will be in the amounts of: $2,500; $2,000; $1,500 (3 each); and $1,000. Three (3) scholarships will be awarded to young men attending a two-year Junior or Community College. The amounts are $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000.

Each applicant for the George M. Hampton Foundation Scholarship must be a graduating High School senior, a U.S. citizen, a resident of Prince William County, Stafford County, Manassas, or Manassas Park, and attend a High School in the aforementioned areas. The students must fulfill the criteria established by the George M. Hampton Foundation which includes academic achievement as evidenced by a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater.
